wpe7D.jpg (4074 bytes)Odin Statue Image $65.00US Odin was the chief god of the Norse pantheon. He fathered Thor, Baldur, Hoder, Tyr, Bragi, Heimdall, Ull, Vidar, Hermod and Vali. His wives were Fjorgyn, Frigga and Rind. He roamed Midgard (the human world) seducing women so many mortals could trace their ancestry to him. He invented the runes and was at once wise, kind and cruel - perhaps representing human nature. Odin was killed by Fenrir the wolf at Ragnarók, the doom of the gods. The original of this bronze statue was found in Lindby, Skane, Sweden and is here reproducted in  Polyresin statue.  11" tall.

These Norsemen with their piercing eyes, long noses and thick-set bodies sailed the seas in their longboats pillaging and causing havoc in far-off lands.  It shows him in his characteristic pose grasping his hammer, Mjollnir. Thor was the Norse god of thunder, lightning, rain and agriculture and was the most popular of the gods. Thor's sacred emblem, the hammer, was used to celebrate weddings and funerals and people carried his amulet as a good-luck charm. Thor died by venom from the mouth of Jormungand, the world serpent, at Ragnarók (the doom of the gods).  It stands 11 inches tall and is made of Polyresin.

SV890.JPG (25123 bytes)Norse Valkyrie Statue $92.00US This statue is a fierce display of a Norse Valkyrie, one of the legendary women who choose from those who die in battle and bring those who died bravely to the halls of Valhalla, where they would live in the afterlife preparing for the coming wars of Ragnarok. Here, she is astride a charging horse and girded for war, with her cloak and hair flying behind her and a Viking sword raised high above her head. Wrought of cold-cast resin in exquisite detail, the whole statue stands 11" tall and 10" in length, and has been hand painted to give this heavy weight piece the look and feel of bronze. This is a fantastic statue for anyone who loves the Norse traditions or have cause to admire the Valkyrie`s warrior spirit. AZ

Odin Wall HangingOdin Wall Hanging $55.00US Odin" is known as the Norse All-Father. He sits astride his 8-legged horse, Sleipnir, who carries souls to the unseen realms. The spear named Gar, when thrown, will always return. Through ritual self-sacrifice, Odin discovered the Runes while hanging from the Yggdrasill, or world tree. A patron of warriors, he was skilled in magic and a master of primal forces. Known as the One-Eyed God, Odin sacrificed his eye to gain wisdom from the fountain of Mimir. World Tree Wall HangingWorld Tree Wall Hanging $150.00US The Norse World Tree or Yggdrasil is depicted with Odin sacrificing himself as an initiation into the Mysteries as referenced in the Havamal. Above him Ratatosk, the squirrel ferries insults between Niddhogg the dragon, the force of destruction in the tree's roots and the Eagle who represents the hightest spiritual light. The three Norns are seen as Past, Present and Future as they constantly pour healing waters on the tree's roots to heal the damage of Niddhogg. Thor StatueThor Statue $55.00US A Norse God, created thunder by striking his great hammer Mjollnir. He protected the house of the Gods and humankind. The runes around the base are an invocation of Thor's protection and depict a battle between Thor and Ior the World Serpent. An ox head was used as bait, and the struggle became so intense that Thor's feet crashed through the bottom of his boat and he used the sea bed for support. ST698.JPG (23963 bytes)Resin Thor Statue $110.00US Here we find the fierce image of Thor, Norse god of lightning and the frequent protector of the Gods and humanity. The subject of numerous Sagas and works of Germanic and Norse mythology, he is said to have wrestled old age to a knee and defeated the fabled Jormungandr, a serpent so vast it was said that it could encircle the world and bite its own tail. With such heroic exploits, he has fast become among the most worshipped and revered of Norse deities. Indeed his fabled hammer has become a symbol revered as an icon of Norse and Germanic pagan faiths. This fabled hammer, Mjolnir, is said to hit every target at which it is thrown and magically return to his hand and throw lightning bolts. In this statue we find him poised upon a cloud as though preparing to hurl lightning from the heavens, or perhaps strike out against giants whom he was so frequently said to fight. By his feet are the fabled goats Tanngrisnir and Tanngnjostr, magical creatures that Thor could eat so long as he took care to leave their bones whole. When their remains were wrapped up they were able to return to life to pull his chariot. Richly detailed, even down to the engraving on the magical belt that girds his waist, this is a wonderful piece for all who would celebrate the Norse god. Made of cold cast resin, this weighty piece is hand painted so as to appear bronze, and measures 11 " tall and 6" wide. AZ

SO697.JPG (19526 bytes)Resin Odin Statue $120.00US Sculpted of cold-cast resin and painted in muted tones that give the appearance that he is sculpted of brass, is depicted the ruler of the Norse pantheon, Odin. His very name is related to the word oor, meaning fury and excitation, as well as poetry and mind. forging a complex origin paves the path for his complicated role as chief of the Norse Gods. The lord of wisdom, war, battle, and death he was also known to have held sway over magic, poetry, prophecy, victory, and the hunt; a complex mingling of many of the virtues that the Norse people held sacred. It was he who received the souls of valiant warriors that died in battle and the women he favored become the legendary Valkyries, who strode among the battlefields and brought the valiant dead to the halls of Valhalla, where they would wait, training and feasting. Then, when Ragnorok came, they would take up arms again and fight for Odin in the battle that was foretold to mean his death. Here he is shown sitting regally in his throne set upon Hlidskjalf, a place from which he could perceive everything that happened in the universe. Girded for battle, he seems as though he could be overseeing a council of war, with his expression painted into an image of stern contemplation. Close at hand are his ravens Huginn and Munninn (Names that translate into Thought and Memory), who fly around the earth daily and report the happenings of the world to Odin at night, and the wolves Geri and Freki rest close by his feet, to whom he feeds the food of his table for Odin, in his might, requires nothing but mead. Standing 10" tall and 8 " wide, this statue is perfect for any who revere the Norse pantheons. AZ

Viking ships were the high technology of their time. They permitted the Vikings to dominate most of Europe for almost 300 years as they traveled thousands of miles raiding and trading. As the Norse goddess associated with love, beauty, and fertility as well as war, death, magic and prophecy, she stands here in an alluring pose, running her fingers through her wavy hair with a winged Viking helm held beneath one arm as though it has just been removed. Cloaked, and girded for war with sword and dagger, and a shield leaning by her side, the pieces of her armor leave little to the imagination of those she gazes upon. Known as a patron of wisdom, war, poetry, magic and the hunt, he is displayed here as he is often portrayed; a one-eyed god of aged wisdom and valor. Head and shoulders are shown here, with his cloak swept back over the shoulders and concealing the plates of his armor. From beneath his horned helm, his beard and hair flow out, braided in the Norse fashion to rest upon his chest, but not concealing the firm set of his jaw and the stern line of his eyes, one of which is covered with a patch. All of this is displayed with fantastic detail, with wonderful attention paid to the ornamentation displayed upon his helm and patch. Great for the altar or home, this bust stands approximately 11 1/2" tall and 9" wide and is sculpted of cold-cast resin, providing a vivid presence for the Norse chief of Gods where ever you wish to put it. Perched on either side of the fountain`s basin, two gargoyles crouch with their leathery wings folded close to their back, timeless guardians of this sacred pool, they are noble things, despite their twisted appearance, that keep evil spirits at bay. Their canine features are upturned, gazing into the face of the Greenman who appears within a brick wall, framed by an ivy and a stone circle. With a main of hair and beard made of leafy branches and vines, he presents the wizened image of a nature god, offering the invigorating renewal of spring after winter`s dead months. From his mouth trickles a stream of water that the gargoyles catch in a shell-shaped bowl, with the overflow spilling to disappear into the grated basin by the guardians` feet. Standing 12" tall, 8 1/2" wide, and 6" deep this fountain is perfect for any desk or shelf. Coming with a pump and an electric cord that is approximately 6` in length, the basin that holds the water is approximately 2" high, 7" " wide at its widest point, and 4 1/2" deep. AZ

SV279.JPG (20742 bytes)Valkyrie Bust $60.00US Choosing who will die in battle, the Valkyrie were the beautiful warrior maidens of Norse mythology, who chose brave souls to rise up into the halls of Valhalla to live among the rest of the noble slain as Einherjar. There they lived and hunted, hardening themselves for the last battle of Ragnorok where many might again die by the side of Odin and many of the other Norse gods and goddesses. For this, the Valkyrie reward them, tending to their wounds and serving them mead. Here, you will find the striking features of such a Valkyrie displayed, head and shoulders in a bust straight out of Norse myth. The very picture of feminine beauty, she possesses delicate features concealed by her armor, with long braids spilling from the open face of her winged helmet. Don`t let this deceive you though. There is a hard set to her eyes, and the set of her jaw, showing that she is a woman who has seen battle. Made of cold cast resin, this bust is polished and honed so as to appear to be crafted of bronze, with no attention to detail spared. azSG295.JPG (14753 bytes)Full Size Green Greenman $75.00US The Greenman is the leafy figure seen peeking out from many an ancient structure throughout Europe, frequently sculpted into the design of buildings of state and even churches. With an old, wizened face that sprouts leafy foliage for hair, he has come to be revered as a deity of nature, and is sometimes associated with the horned god. Most often, he is viewed as a symbol of the powerful ability of nature to be born anew as it goes through its yearly cycle, with so many plants and animals seemingly reborn with time`s passing. This wall plaque seeks to capture that unbridled, wild power that he represents and comes as close as any still-life might. In life sized proportions the Greenman is displayed with wild eyes and wise features, with green leaves sprouting to form his hair, beard and mustache. In this portrayal he would seem almost a ferocious thing, though the kindness and wisdom can still be recognized within his features; a clear reminder of the untamed manner of all things born of nature. azST008.JPG (12983 bytes)Tyr Statue $100.00US Recreating a scene of legend and bravery within Norse, this sculpture depicts the epic legend of the brave Norse god Tyr aiding in the shackling of the legendary Fenrir. Fenrir, the child of Loki, was said to be a great wolf of fierce anger and cunning. He was foretold to be the one who would kill the god Odin during the events of Ragnarok, and otherwise sew great trouble and turmoil throughout the world. For this reason, the Gods bound him in shackles but try as they might the beast broke every chain they put upon him. The dwarves finally came then and created an unbreakable magic ribbon called Gleipnir, which could not be broken but Fenrir could not be tricked into being bound. At last the brave god of single combat, glory and victory stepped forward and stilled Fenrir, with his hand placed within the wolf`s mouth. So lulled, the wolf was bound with the Gleipnir, and the Gods rejoiced, but in a fit of anger Fenrir bit off Tyr`s hand, and forever after he was known as the one-handed god. This statue beautifully portrays this scene straight out of Norse mythology. Sculpted of cold-cast resin, the whole is created in amazing detail, with the stern lines of Tyr`s face accented by the hammer marks on his helm displaying an equal brilliance as the shaggy coat of the fierce Fenrir. Further, the whole possesses a metallic sheen that gives the impression that the whole statue has been cast in bronze. The whole scene is approximately 11" wide and 10" tall, you can easily use it to accent a bookshelf, desk, or your altar to find inspiration in the bravery of Tyr. AZ

Though on occasion he did aid them in their struggles and efforts, on most occasions he was known to have delighted in causing discord and havoc among the Gods. Indeed, known as a shape shifted and a trickster, it was he who fathered the goddess Hel, who ruled over a portion of the dead, as well as the world serpent Jormungandr, who was grew so large as to encircle the world and Fenrir, the wolf who was foretold to kill the god Odin during Ragnarok. Loki himself responsible for engineering the death of the god Balder, for which he was finally cast out from the gods and bound in the entrails of his son, where a serpent was poised above him to drip his painful venom upon him. His wife, offering mercy, collects the poison in a bowl, staying at his side until she needs to empty the bowl. During this time the poison strikes Loki, and in his agonized writhing the very world shakes. For this, Loki is foretold to join the forces of the jotnar against the Gods, and fight them during Ragnarok where he is fated to slay and be slain by the god Heimdallr. In this statue, Loki is portrayed as the ominous herald of calamity and strife. Girded for battle and carrying a great axe. With cold mischief vividly portrayed in fantastic detail in the expression of his face and eyes, he pulls aside the edge of his great, furred cloak to reveal Fenrir and Jormungandr, unleashed upon the world and the gods to cause havoc and ruin. Made of cold cast resin, this fantastic sculpture stands 10 1/2" high and 6" wide. Possessing an impressive weight, it is brilliantly painted so as to make the whole sculpture seem to be crafted of fine bronze, making it the perfect ornament for any altar, desk, bookshelf or any other such place where you would want to display this famed figure of the Norse pantheon.
